The Benefits of Vignettes
The vignettes organize editorial content, provide structure within the layout, and help guide readers through the magazine. At the same time, they add an emotional dimension to sensitive topics such as everyday care, diversity in healthcare, and interpersonal care—without sugarcoating them.
Unlike purely decorative illustrations, editorial vignettes serve a strategic purpose:
They condense content, strengthen the magazine’s visual identity, and increase brand recognition across multiple issues. In the past, my illustrations have also accompanied the “Life and Health” content in GLG.
