My name is Tanja, I'm a North German illustrator who has made Bonn my home.

Yes, I've always loved drawing, crafting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and doing pretty much anything I could get my hands on to obsess over.

Whenever new pens hit the market, I nagged SO! LONG!! until I finally had them in my pencil case. To this day, art supply, yarn, and fabric stores are both my financial ruin and my happy place. When I was younger, I danced hip-hop and performed in Low German comedies at my village's amateur theater—that dry East Frisian humor really shaped me. That's why I often sneak little, funny details into my illustrations.

In 2009, I decided to channel all those creative obsessions in a more focused direction – and studied communication design with a major in illustration.
In 2013, I graduated with a Bachelor of Design from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

I've been working as a freelance illustrator since 2013, teaming up with clients to create visuals that communicate exactly what they need. Over the years, I've built up a wealth of experience in creating illustrations for print and online media as well as event drawing. As an event artist, I bring my speed portraits and sketches to family celebrations and corporate events.

Stylistically, my focus is a mix of watercolor and digital drawing. This blend lets me create a wide range of artwork, including animal illustrations, digital portraits, watercolors, detailed illustrated maps, and much more. My work is aesthetic, often features a dash of humor and a relaxed vibe, and is just bursting with life. Action-packed illustrations are my specialty.
